By the way, ahfrsr, I forgot to mention the students and general discipline within the school. The students practically decide which teachers come and go, especially in English Foundations. If you try to discipline the students for their abhorrent behaviour, they will complain and the school will discipline you. Good luck in making your decision.

Hi ahfrsr, I'm the same as Chinatoon85. The answer to your question is yes it really is that bad or at least was when I worked there not too long ago. I can't be 100% sure what its like now, but my sources say things have got worse. What would you be teaching? The BC Programme or English Foundations? What I can tell you is that if you are a fully qualified BC teacher, then at least your salary will be high, but its not worth it. Imagine needing to pay 15 or 20RMB to go to anything that comes close to being a supermarket. Also, imagine being isolated, somewhat like the Bates Motel in Psycho or The Overlook in the The Shining. You need to decide for yourself, but I strongly advise that you decline any offer.
